OK I'm making up for not blogging while I was on the road. I've come to realize that my blogging is best when I'm away on location working on a project. That's when I'm settled down and not running around trying to do a million things at once.
Anyway, this Blog is dedicated to Roscoe's Chicken n' Waffle. If you know the joint you already understand how this seemingly unfitting combination works and works oh so well. The first time I had Roscoe's was the summer of '96 while in LA for summer school at Sci-Arch(Southern California Institute of Architecture). From then on I was hooked so every time I hit LA I make sure it's on my culinary list. There's no food like comfort food and Roscoe's does it in their own soulful way. The waffle is the best I've ever had, I can't really explain it but mixed with their juicy fried chicken it's just the best.

Healthy, Roscoe's definitely isn't. Look at that mound of butter! But once you put it in your mouth you just won't care.
