Sure, you had your huge Halloween Party in Hong Kong, but what about on November 2nd? What did you do then? In Beijing, members of Alive Not Dead gathered at Cosmos to pay tribute to a visiting Mark Moran for his efforts at AnD. In many ways, Mark brought us together in Beijing. But wait, there's more! We also wished Wu Di good fortune at the upcoming Chinese National Wushu Championships (next weekend). That's not all! We had a laugh and reminisced about Shahaub's gold medal at the 3rd World Traditional Wushu Championshipslast week (even Shahaub is laughing about that one and I love reminiscing). At no extra cost, we also welcomed Will C. from Made in Hong Kong who is in Beijing for a few months. Finally, and due to very little effort on my part, we wished me a belated happy birthday; no cake though, unless you consider okonomiyaki cake.
Funny thing happened as we sat down at our colective tables in Cosmos (an out of the way Japanese restaurant); someone noticed that the AnD Halloween Party was on the news. So kudos to everyone involved for making headlines all the way in Beijing. My how we have grown. I shot a quick photo of the group (and the culinary aftermath) before some of us had to leave. What can I tell you, Reina may be queen, but her bedtime still comes early.
