Hello everyone, I hope you have all been fine and dandy the past month or so. Like I said in my last blog, I recently returned back from Australia. I was there to attend my mothers wedding, which was awesome might I add. I'm a big fan of wedding's. They are so much fun. Family, friends, tasty beverages, dancing, crying, and more delicious beverages and food. What more could you ask for really. So, the wedding was at this amazing location near to where I grew up called froggies. It's a real surfers haven. I actually had quite a few flash backs of my glory day's as a little surfer chick. My mother looked so amazing, it made me cry and it was so fun to do her make-up. It gave us a little bit of time to bond before she walked down the sand. Also, my new step-father scrubbed up pretty good too. I was more than happy to accept him into my family. He is a really great guy. Great chef too, and i do love food he he.
Apart from helping with all the wedding preparations and so on. I used the trip home to spend quality time with the family.
I spent a really funny day with my Dad. First we (jesper and I) attended his man brunch which was pretty much a brunch with all men, drinking wine and gossiping. Seriously it's not just women that do this. After the MUNCH (new word for man brunch) we went to the TAB, which is a pub where you bet on horse races. Usually I'm not up for gambling as I don't want to follow in my father's footsteps of addiction but on this particular day I thought "fuck it" and pulled out my wallet. Also Jesper had not really ever gambled on the horses before so he was really excited. Anyway, pulling out my wallet really meant a total of 20bucks. I'm such a tight ass, haha. This ended up being pretty fun, everyone got so drunk except me cause i had a terrible flu. Well, to be honest, I had a couple of beers, after all i was on holiday and in Australia the beer drinking capital of the world. After that, I was supposed to be having a chilled dinner with my girlfriend but instead my father and step-mother joined us and it didn't end up being so quiet. My Dad was being a crazy man and I think he may have traumatized my friends. He did add some free entertainment to the night though. It didn't stop here either. After dinner we went home and had a little party at my Dad' s, where we danced around the garden to 80"s music, drinking and being very merry. It was really fun actually. One of those precious memories I'll keep forever.
When I wasn't giving my family all my attention I was 100% focused on FOOD. I ate up a storm. The food in Australia is so amazing, and I'm not just saying that cause I'm from there it is. Everything is so fresh and yummy, it's one of the things I miss the most.
Oh, and we theme parked it up this trip too, which is something I have not done in years. We went to Seaworld and Dreamworld. At Seaworld, Jesper and I booked "The Seal Adventure" for something extra special to celebrate our 4 year anniversary. I highly recommend this to anyone who loves animals. It was so amazing, these creatures are so precious. They are so animated and just like us, I think one looked the Sean Connery. Amazing.
Dreamworld was also loads of fun. The tower of terror rocks. It's not for the faint hearted that's fo sho, and the water slides were wicked fun to. I'm such a big kid. My mum is too, so we had a great time.
ra So that about wraps up my trip in Australia.
Since I have been back in Hong Kong I have also had a lot of radical things going on. For starters... Halloween. I do love to put on a costume from time to time.
That was a great party, thanks "Alive not Dead"
I also attended a 3 day motivation weekend called "The break through to success" This was very interesting. I'm not someone that would usually go to something like this, but I did thanks to a good friend of mine, and I can honestly say that I walked away from the course with a lot of tools and knowledge.
I also got news that i will be doing a small but important role (this is how I'm looking at it) in a film called JASMINE. Oh, and also in The Blood Bond. For my part in Jasmine i will be playing the look alike of a girl who has just been murdered (Jasmine). I can't give to much away but i can say that I'm very excited to be trying something new. I have always wanted to be an actress and do movies so this is going to be a great learning experience. I believe the best way to learn is to be there in the action and learn what you can from your mentors. What better way then to be on set and watch them in first person. I think it's much better then any school I could go to. I also shot an opening scene for Wing Shya's first movie, which I believe is called "The hottest summer". This by the way was so much fun, I get such a high off being on set for TVC's and film's. It's definitely were my heart is at and it's all happening. I'm very excited to work with all these amazingly talented people and absorbing all of their wisdom so that when I get my first big role I'll be well prepared and won't let anyone down, yeee haaaaaa
PS: Here is my latest TVC which is world wide:
