I interview one of my idols- Quan from Regurgitator!!!

So much has been going on lately! In the last week I have done two interviews for Choochootv for the HK Live! show coming up this Saturday. But, for this blog I am just going to talk about the first interview, for now.

The first interview I got to do was with Quan ( http://www.alivenotdead.com/quantheamateur), who is the former lead singer/guitarist of Australian band, Regurgitator. I am a huge fan of his and his band since I was a teenager. I bought his first album ‘Tu Plang’ and I totally loved it. It had a little bit of everything in there; rock, rap and electronica.

Now he is doing a solo act which actually involves himself and drummer, Catharina. I found out that he recorded all of the album by himself, but was actually looking for a female drummer to help him with the live shows, especially for the Big Day Out.

It was a great honour and pleasure talking with Quan as he has become an idol of mine. He is the most famous person I have had the chance to interview so far. All of the other interviewees have been from Hong Kong indie bands (except for Twin Lobster: Phillipino band), and now I have got the chance to interview someone with a more International stage presence… or at least an Australian personality.

I asked a friend of mine, “Does that make me more famous if I am interviewing a famous person?” And he answered me, “Maybe to Gurg fans!”
