So lately, these cats think they came across a revelation... that I write movie reviews on the side for extra income. Suddenly, lips starts moving and things are flying behind my back.

If I wanted to hide the fact that I do freelance movie reviews, I wouldn't have mentioned it to multiple people at the office, write about it on my facebook notes, and put it in my ALIVENOTDEAD PROFILE under the "ABOUT ME" section.

All writers do freelance. I didn't openly advertise at the office but I was definitely not hiding it.

It's amazing how petty and two-faced office politics can get. Turns out more than a few already knew what happened but I don't hear about it until one guy decides to tell me.

Sharyn told me the other day that I'm too naive. That I trust people too easily. How ironic is it that 24 hours after what she tells me I find out about this?

Maybe she right. I'm not cut out for this world. Because you know, I actually automatically assume people is a friend until proven otherwise.

In Hong Kong work circles, maybe it's the otherway around. You assume someone is an enemy and then you let them work their way up to "friend" status.

I always thought America was fucking dangerous. We got the most violent crimes in the world and seems like all the sickos and shit come from there. Watching the news in LA everynight made me sick.

But that's just physical danger. Crimes. You know, stuff that influence Nas rap. Stickups and killings . Kidnappings, project buildings, drug dealings. Criticize that, why is that?

It's quite dangerous in Hong Kong too. Just another kind of danger. There's no physical danger here (seriously, some cops here look like they work at law firms)

Instead it's the danger of petty rumors and Harvey Dent syndrome.

A friend told me I shouldn't wear my heart on my sleeve. He says I gotta "play the game".

I don't want to play this game. But if I do play, I'll win. Just like I'm kicking everyone's ass in Fantasy NBA right now. (The HK league, I'm getting my ass kicked in the LA league though... hahah but those guys have advantage cause they watch NBA games like everynight and get that awesome US sports-coverage)
