Karma

Well Sharon Stone found that Karma does exist....her comments on China has resulted in her loosing her Cristian Dior Ads...and being declared a person non-grata by China.  Natural disasters have natural causes and need everyone's help.  What you say and what you do however does have consequences.....either you work to achieve harmony or you go against the Tao..that has consequences.  Even the Tibet Foundation that she supports is going to donate money to help the people of Sichuan.......while we may have differences with the government of China and how it handles things....friendship is built on the people to people level.......politics tries to separate.......it's not interested in unity.........it's about control.  We should not succumb to divisive views........I was thinking, often pacifist say they are participating in non violent confrontation......but if you think about it that is still being divisive..........your action has the same stance......I am right and you are wrong...I just chose a different tactic.........that's all it is....or do you actually want to sit down and talk about the issues and create harmony?  Harmony and compassion is the goal of those who follow the Tao.  Casting blame and pointing fingers does not create unity or lay any basis for  resolution.  This is an opportunity to work together to get to know who the  Chinese People are and to find out what are their hopes and needs.  You'll find the people of China don't have the same feeling as the government.............things can change through contact with the outside world.............China is no longer the isolated Middle Kingdom........new ideas create change, but it can occur only if we are willing to talk and work together to make the world a better place.  In addition to karma Taoist recognize the existence of change.....nothing stands still, you can go with it or oppose it that is your choice.....then pay the consequences!  To this , one must admire Jet Li, he has chosen to spend his time and money to help the victims of the Earthquake........and has stepped outside of the government channels and taken help directly to the people, plus he is telling the Red Cross where the money will go.....so money isn't diverted into administrative cost but translated into help.  You help without any expectations and give of yourself that is the way of the Tao.  Jiayo, Jet Li!!

Next, gotta get ready to cross the Bay Bridge, will be attending a sneak showing  of a  film on the life of radical Japanese-American Leader, Richard Aoki....one of the leaders of the Third World Strike at UC Berkeley.......he was one of my professors in Asian Studies Department.  Also, we will be trying to round up enough lion dancers for this weekends Earthquake Lion Dance thru Chinatown to raise money.....many Lion Dance Teams will be doing this every weekend for the next month.  Ok, cya all!!
