It was another sunny and hot Sunday on the 20th of June 2010 where Vans and 8FIVE2SHOP celebrated a Go Skateboarding Day at Mei Foo. All of Hong Kong’s finest skateboarders showed up (Chun Chai, Lung Chai, Hong Chai, Piet Guilfoyle, Chris Bradley and the list goes on).Coke Zero was generous enough to provide us with unlimited Super Cold Coke Zero…and yes, it was refreshing. We had 3 contests that day; Longest Jump, Highest Ollie and Best Line. I have to say longest jump is one of the funniest events of the day. This random kid (Manuel) from Pittsburg won the Longest Jump, he honestly deserved it. Best line goes to Hong Chai, he was super consistent that day, quite surprising. Highest Ollie goes to everyone’s favorite Mr Chris Bradley (36″), he told me that he had Brophy in mind while doing that ollie. Another 8 1/2″ to go but 36″ is pretty damn high.No rain, not a cloud in the sky, Father’s day, and everyone had a blast…It was like Ice Cube’s MV “It was a good day”Thank you to Vans, 8FIVE2SHOP, Judges (WZA, Lee Hawk, HKit and Andy Lee), Coke Zero and everyone that showed up to support.See you all again next year. Now, go grab your skateboard and cruise the streets of Hong Kong. Go Skate OG’s; Forever31; Lee Hawk, WZA, JBS Beautiful Sunday, Beautiful Ollie Lee Hawk got P O P. Chun Chai is still the illest. He can ollie high and far. This is 10 minutes before he fucked up his head from falling. Highest Ollie Champion; Chris Bradley. 36″, pretty damn high.
