First off, a very Happy New Year to everyone!!! I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas. Seems like it's ages ago now, and Christmas 2009 surely is only around the corner...
I was rather busy over the Christmas period and had been away from the Alivenotdead.com scene not really been up to date with the blogging, however I just wish to share some pictures of Christmas in the Wai household. My parents are away in Hong Kong for Christmas & New Year (lucky for some.... ) so it was just myself and my sister Susan in the house to celebrate Christmas. I was responsible for the cooking, and since I don't eat meat I had fixed up a Salmon en Croute, served with mash, roasted potatoes and vegetables, plus gravy on top.
Ah yes, goes down nicely with a glass of white wine....
Not my most flattering picture, but boy the food was good if I have to say so myself....
Now my sister usually dodges the camera at ever possible opportunity, but I managed to get a snap of her here while she was pre-occupied with her own little Christmas present. Teehehe... She might not be impressed with me putting this picture up, but hey, she got to sample my cooking so she best quit moaning....
Towards the evening our two brothers, Chung and Fai, along with their families came over and that's when the present exchange/opening happened and also our Christmas hot pot ( da bean-no)...
Above is my nephew, Sean. Getting into the Christmas spirit as you can see.... Or is it Halloween....? Big fan of Spiderman I might add.
This little cutie, Dervla, here with her mum and my sister-in-law, Aoife, is the latest addition to the Wai family and celebrates her first Christmas.
Dervla also seems to be a fan of Spiderman.... But perhaps for completely different reasons....
Man, was I having a bad hair day!!! I mean, someone could have at least pointed it out to me before the camera went off!!! Well at least I have my lovely neice and nephew to draw all the attention anyway... Hehehe....
Present time! And weren't the little ones spoilt as usual....
Then came time for the Hot Pot, otherwise known as Chinese fondue. I really do think I put on a few pounds that night alone....
I'll finish up leaving you with the two cute cousins together!
Peace & Best Wishes in 2009 to y'all!
Alan
