The youngest of six siblings and his family originally from Hong Kong, Alan Tak Wa Wai was born and raised in Dublin, Ireland on 26th June 1983. He studied for three years in Bull Alley Theatre Training Company, and made his full professional debut on stage with the highly acclaimed physical theatre company, Barabbas, in the production HURL which performed at the Galway Arts Festival & Dublin Theatre Festival 2003.
Alan has worked on numerous projects with Ireland's leading TV station RTE including Killinaskully, Fair City, Prosperity, and with a principal role in the comedy series The English Class.
A big fan of martial arts, Alan has several years training and is skilled in Tae Kwon Do, Muay Thai kickboxing, Capoeira, and Kung Fu. His knowledge and abilities had given him the opportunity to work as an action choreographer on a number of projects including the award winning short film, Dead Samurai.
In his spare time, Alan enjoys working out, watching movies, attending theatre, cooking, reading, writing, and learning new skills & things!
