No just in case the title might suggest, this ain't the anniversary of Sylvia Chang & Alan Yuen's co-directed efforts "Princess-D" which starred Daniel Wu, Anthony Wong, and Angelica Lee. Instead, it's our very own Wai family's little princess - my dear niece - Dervla's 1st birthday on 10th May!
A house party was held for the birthday girl, and it went down a real treat and spectacular fashion.
Here's the star of the day with her parents, my brother Fai & my sister-in-law Aoife....
.... and here she is again with her wonderful uncle, moi....
There was a great turn out, and fun to be had for both the little ones and adults. Thankfully the weather was smashing also (very rare to find in Ireland I'm afraid to say....).
The kids had a blast when even Bugs Bunny, Shrek, and Danger Mouse dropped by for a visit!
My brother Fai and his friends from college. Back in the days, that is.... Hehehe....
The birthday girl was real centre of attention....
.... even making other little friends too. Awww....
My soon-to-be-five nephew, Sean is a real ball of energy and great fun chap. However in presence of huge crowds or strangers he would go into his little shell and not talk or make eye contact to anyone.... Even his little cousin was craving for a bit of attention! It is her birthday after all....
.... Alas she wasn't very successful when Sean turns to his NDS instead....
But give Sean two hours or so, he'll be back to his playful self, hanging around and making friends which was a great sight to see how much he was enjoying the day also.
There was no birthday cake to be cut, but surely there were plenty to be eaten
The fancy cakes and artwork was designed by her daddy. Ain't it just pretty?
Dervla seemed to be loving the day. With so many tired arms she was passed along to throughout the party, she was left to sit around by herself to enjoy a bit of biscuit....
The birthday girl was even generous to share.... .... But then changes her mind! She sure know how to be a little tease.... Hehehe...
All in all, it was a fantastic day for everyone that attended and I'm sure one birthday to remember for our little Princess-D!
Peace & Best Wishes,
Alan
