FOOD, BOOZE, PARTY MAKES A HAPPY TEAM!!!In a self-catering house, we were all responsible for the cooking and each night we have one different person making the dinner for the whole cast. What follows is the various preparation and dinners over the week.
Monday was my night, and what I had was choices of baked salmon and/or home-made chicken escalopes served with boiled seasoned potatoes and mixed green salad. This cast has more of a fussy taste and different interest of food so a mixed variety had to be introduced to keep everyone happy.
Talk about multi-tasking, looks like I managed a little dance while getting the dinner cooked!
This dinner is prepared especially for Eimear, since she doesn't eat fish nor any vegetables besides potatoes and onions.... (WTF?!?!? )
Tuesday was Andy's turn to shine in the kitchen, and boy he sure did....
Doesn't he look proud of his work or what....?
And so he should be. That's one fine curry he worked up (although I don't eat chicken, I enjoyed the vegetables and curry sauce with the rice).
Wednesday was Aine's turn to impress, and just for evidence this lady does actually cook....
I'm a big fan of noodles and what we have here is a lovely chicken stir-fry with noodles (again, chicken simply to be avoided for me). Unfortunately, Aine barred me from using my camera any further at the dinner table. However her serving of desert to Eimear was priceless - Honeycomb ice-cream with chicken!!! (don't worry, the chicken was cooked! )
Our last dinner together as a cast in Clare was Eimear's turn to work her magic....
Just to get the taste buds going, Eimear prepared us a nice starter with mixed fruits and some tasty garlic bread.
Delicious roasted vegetables and potato roasties. All served with baked chicken for the rest of them of course. Come to think of it, with all the chicken we've been cooking would this possibly be the place we've been sourcing them....?
....from Bunratty Castle....???
Of course, there is always time for a little boozing and partying....
And always nice to drop into an old folks country pub.
Think the guys were getting a little to comfy for my liking.... Yikes!!!!
WORK...???And just in case you think it was all fun and games in Clare, yes we did actually have to work....
Just so you have an idea, this is the heavy mother trucker of a set we bring around with us on tour. Our very own portable bakery, with steel walls, and giantic heavy table. Have to unload, put together and set up where ever we go, then take down again and load onto van for next destination.
Our Aine with her post-show workshop web activity....
It all gets a bit too much for her I see..... Teehehehe....
Even Andy is at work where ever he goes, he still has the opportunity to showcase his method acting as old man Mr. Miah....
And that's all from TEAM's adventure in Clare! Till the next time, adios!!!
Peace & Best Wishes,
Alan
