Just wrapped a music vid shoot for the Love Grenades this weekend. Wow. What a looong week and weekend it’s been!
Week… has to do with that new job I got… but I’m not ready to talk about that one yet.
Weekend… oh man, cuz’ of my crazy long week… I had to take most of Friday off to try to prep for the shoot on Saturday. Even with taking time off… I wasn’t able to sleep until near 5am… and so I only got 1 hour of sleep prior to the shoot… oi! Harsh. Saturday morning was really bad. I went to Kinkos first to print out shoot schedules, etc. and lo and behold, I run into technical probs left and right (my 2nd time getting jacked by Kinkos! I need to buy a new printer already). On top of that, this random guy came out of nowhere and started bothering me like crazy. Ugh. I AM TOO NICE. Not gonna go into details here, but man… I was pissed at myself the whole day. Especially since it f’d up my morning schedule with the shoot and made me feel like the worst producer ever… and to top it all off I got a $75 parking ticket from a meter maid who came outta nowhere while I was unloading stuff. I was gonna try to move my car real quick, but she got outta her car claiming, “too late! I got your plate # already!” Yes. It was crappy and I took a beating that morning, but it’s OK… breathe in… breathe out…
Karin Anna Cheung and Tim Chiou came by to hang out later. I’m glad they did, cuz’ I just needed to chill and it was nice to have some friends to hang with. They actually offered themselves as PAs the next day which was pretty awesome of them.
Sunday was better even though it became a 17 hour day. I got more sleep and chilled out for the most part. Special thanks to Lingie, Karin, Tim, and Tristan for being there for me! Overall, our cast and crew were amazing! We had a dope art director and dope location! Dope DP and camera crew. Dope makeup artist and hot actors. Definitely a production of high quality even with a low budget. To top it off, I got to work for my friend, Leizel Olegario, for the first time (after all the times she helped me out with my stuff!). It was a good experience, I just wish I could’ve been more awake~ haha.
Can’t wait to see the finished video… I think it’s gonna be crazy.
For now, check out the Love Grenades on Myspace. We shot the music vid for “Tigers in the Fire.” Stay tuned!
