Hey guys, my friend, Nick Acosta (director of “The Refuge”) is in pre-production of a mockumentary film about Harry Potter and friends 20 years later. He’s trying to raise $2000 in the next two months ( via indiegogo.com) so that he can fly to Universal Studios Florida as well as buy some costumes, props, etc. Other than those costs, this is pretty much a low/no budget shoot. Take a look at this video and check out some of his work to get an idea of what he can do with very little.
If you feel led to contribute a donation or you want to find out more info, you can do so here: http://www.indiegogo.com/Harry-Potter-Documentary-1.
I put in the first $50 not only cuz’ I want the “special thanks” (puahaha), but cuz’ Nick is super talented and I’m pretty sure this mockumentary’s gonna be awesome cuz’ of Nick’s passion for Harry Potter. If only I were 20 years older… maybe I could play Cho Chang… lol! Seriously though, if you’re a Potter fan and you want to support indie filmmaking, here’s your chance. You can donate as little as a $1 if you want (check out the VIP Perks that come with the donations), but if this ain’t your cup of tea, no worries! Feel free to pass this along. Any help is appreciated :]
