Speechless
curse this modern language, with its inherent rules of separation! subject, action, object its structure is a prison. the subject is the object, and the action!
i propose a new amendment to the constitution: freedom from speech
the heart speaks. not a word is uttered.
the wind speaks. the ancients gave the winds names, but the wind outlives those names.
our words have been raped of their true meanings, and reorganized to reflect the illusion of separation and multiple identities.
how can we speak of freedom when our language is infested with fragmented perceptions?
identifiers. definitions of a solely physical or logical categorization. possessive pronouns! mine, yours; me and you.
examining language, as with any practice, must begin with a clear understanding of the fundamental thought processes upon which the evolution of the field is based. the precepts taken for granted in the realm of language~ the meanings of words employed as representations of aspects of a particular reality and how we string these words together to convey our deepest notions~ are a detriment to our evolution toward social and spiritual unity. our children never have a chance to communicate their wisdom because the language we teach them has lost its power. we presently have a language that mirrors a reality based solely upon input from our five senses. how can one voice a transcendent experience? Does saying i love you really convey the meaning of transcending self and merging with what appears to be another?
our very way of relating to each other is limited and even distorted in its expression by the nature of our thinking.
we think in the form of language.
i felt love
there was no language for what i felt
the profoundness of feeling was beyond my ability to capture and display as a crude replica
thought came too soon, like a security guard to enforce the rules of human relativity
but i will always recall what i realized in that moment of indescribable experience:
love is freedom
