MC Jin at Hotel Panorama's Santa Lucia Lounge

Last saturday we co-hosted a party at the Hotel  Panorama in TST.  They'd just launched a new DJ booth in the bar and they wanted to attract a big crowd to get the word out about the place.    They also got our pal MC Jin to perform.  A wise choice!

For those who don't know this yet - MC Jin has a real great 'stage presence',  he knows how to work a crowd and keep things fun.  Even when there's no stage!

i'm guessing when they put the DJ booth in, they didn't expect it to be used this way!

Even though the place was a bit crowded, he still put on a great set... or two... or three... another thing that's interesting about MC Jin is that he loves to work the mic...  whether its performing his own tracks, rapping over other people's tracks,  free styling,  randomly shouting out stuff about people in the audience,  you name it.  I put together a few video clips...

We had a really good turnout of members, artists and other friends.  I didn't actually take a lot of pics (compared to my normal),  but here  are a few of the ones i did take:

Actually this event served as a going away party for our friend Ana Souza,  who just relocated back to Brazil.  Unbelievably I almost completely didn't get any pictures of her on my camera the whole night, even though she was the guest of honor!  

All I got is this one with Bob (and a bunch of people in the way!)

This picture was not staged at all. 

I tried to think of a humorous subject that they could be discussing... but all I could think of were very very gross...  

e.g. Simon saying "My testicles swelled until they were THIS big..." and Jason says "I know thats the worst!  but does it still hurt when you pee?"

But I swear, they weren't talking about that.

Patrick was late, but he made it eventually.
