wow i enjoyed reading into people's responses to my ridiculously long survey. thank you.
some of you may know that i'm a psychology major and i am very interested in group dynamics...and so this is just some recent food for thought that u may find interesting. i mos def do, even tho i'm no nerd
TRUST (relevant to group dynamics)
-people develop trust in one another if they can express any feelings w/out fear of being censored...
-when they are willing to decide for themselves which emotions and where they want to explore.
-group members tend to focus more on themselves and not on others.
-trust involves a sense of safety but doesn't neccessarily entail being comfortable.
in contrast
MISTRUST (relevant to group dynamics)
-the lack of trust indicated by an undercurrent of anger, suspicion, and unwillingness to talk about feelings.
-people can take refuge in being abstract or overly intellectual also being vague about what they expect from others.
-disclosures tend to be superficial and rehearsed.
-risk taking is low and people wait for the leader to decide for them what to examine.

we all are involved in group interactions, does any of this info pertain to your interactions???
Speaking of group interactions...this was a long time ago. 5 yrs ago, before even making the national team. hard to even remember life before acting.
