In time like this

After the shooting of the movie "In love with the dead" I have had a rough time pulling myself together. I dunno, probably coz it was my first movie. I was anxious all the time and had been losing sleeps for months. The feedback in the end however was surprisingly unexpectable, especially for me. Like everything else in this industry though, progress goes slower than a snail race.

On last wednesday, I went to a temple in pheng zao to pray, my prayer was short, not like usual. I sat by the peer overlooking the oceans for over 2 hours, there were children running around the harbour and old people chatting loudly while walking and dragging with their old-men sticks but I was too lost in my own thoughts to pay attention to any of those. I was thinking to myself, really.... why am I here? Does Hong Kong knows who Yu Yung Yung is? What kind of impression do I give out? What kind of vibe do I emit?

A friend sent me an sms asking " dear, what are you doing? haven't heard much from you lately!" I replied "nothing, just went to a temple to pray, need some peace and now sitting by the peer by myself", something like that and the friend went on wishing me tranquilty and so on. "Sometimes, I'd really like to get to know you more but  at times you just seemed so unapproachable ". I replied "sorry... maybe that is just probably the way I am...." .The next sms went on asking me what I was doing sitting by myself on a less than beautiful peer on a cold and windy evening. My reply was "I am not sure!". I guess this friend could see the hidden meaning behind my reply  of "I am not sure". The answer was this: "Sometimes, I think of you as a teacher, the way that you are is not bad,.... is special." OK!!!! now... I was suddenly awaken? WHAT? a teacher? must have sent the wrong sms to the wrong person, dude! Right? So, I asked "why?"

This is the reply "因為妳忠於自己,了解自己,為理想不惜一切,有學習成長,有勇氣,有頭腦,有成功的慾望,及堅持的毅力"

                "Because you focus, understand yourself, In the pursuit of your dreams you never give up, you learn to be more mature, you have courage, you are intelligent, you desire to succeed, and have fortitude and are resillient"

............................................................................... was my reaction.... I sat there looking at that message for the next I dunno how many minutes. So... is this the impression that others have of me? No, this friend is not a real close friend of mine, not even a close friend of mine but a friend. Someone who just barely know me enough to be objective, to comment about me without sentiment. thank you, Frank. I found my strength back and I am reminded why I AM in Hong Kong. I LOVE HONG KONG and I LOVE ACTING!!!!!!!
