Well, you know time really really flies! I have been back to Hong Kong for exactly one year today.
A lots have been happened both personally and professional.
I took a big step to bring my wife and 7 years old back last year after living in UK for over 20 years.
It's kind of strange living in HK permanently after a long time but I am slowly getting used to living back in HK.
Lucky my son is doing fantastically (always around the top 5) at the local village school (mind you it is not small and it is the ONLY Microsoft Innovative School in Asia and 1 of the twelve in the world)! I and my wife was very worried he cannot pick up his Mandarin and written English - but he is like a fish in the water (credit to my wife's continuous support - looking after all the house works and son's homework and personal character development).
Onto the professional front, I have achieved quite a lot by working with various photographers and IT companies (worked for various people like Citi Bank, Toni and Guy HK, Disney and Kodak). I have of course continue my personal works around the city (I am especially interested in the older part of the city and they will disappear fast). Obviously it takes time to build up my network and clients as I have not set my foot in the HK photographic scene for too long (quite different from Euorope / UK).
However, I was deeply sadden when one of the colleague, Ah Ngai (Larry) I worked with briefly died recently due to I think indirectly caused by overwork (which is so so common in HK) - he died while sleeping - and not even hit his 30's.
Onto a lighter and happier note, I was honored to have got an email from ALIVENOTDEAD.COM to ask if I am interested to become a feature artist in the future. Of course I was flattered and pleased with the request and looking forward to it and hope more members will find my work and ME interesting.
