I walked past a Bank of China branch yesterday and watched the news in the past few days (watching people both in mainland China and HK queuing).
I hate to say, I guess most of these people were there try to make a fast buck. Don't get me wrong, making a fast buck is fine and I love the Olympic - especially Beijing, China - our motherland.
But it is so ridiculous that the Chinese government is letting people queuing in such ridiculous fashion. In HK it is even worst people were queuing without physically being there - but put water bottles and newspaper on the ground (if people want what they want, please queue in the correct fashion). The worst was a baby was involved in a greedy family of EIGHT (staying overnight with milk powder and brave the rain and thunder).
The bank should just print the bank notes in a large quantity and for the whole country to enjoy, not just a small bunch of people and especially the "FRYER" who want to make a quick fast rip-off buck.
"FRYER" is a common thing in Hong Kong, basically anyone hunting for sought after items like in the past queuing ticket to buy flat, stamps and limited edition stuff, etc.
The Olympic should be a thing of JOY, not torture or queuing!!!
So if you didn't or want to queue in the last day or so, DO NOT BUY from people who just want to sell the note for crazy profits!
