World Tribes

It sure has been a busy weekend, but I was really psyched today to hang out & film with the crew from Miami Ink who were in town to film for a new TV series called WORLD TRIBES.

For those of you that don’t know, Chris, Ami & Yoji are 3 of the main cast members of a reality TV show “Miami Ink” about 5 tattoo artists at a Tattoo Shop in South Beach, Miami.   This has been one of my favorite reality TV shows because Tattoos have always intrigued me & I loved how the show goes into the background & meaning of a tattoo, and not just the process of getting a tattoo.  I mean, even my mom (who used to HATE my tatts) watches & loves the show! It changed her perception of tattoos to the point where she mentioned to me once that she wanted to get one!  (Only by Ami though, ‘coz she has a crush on him, but don’t tell my step dad!)

Anyway, when I was contacted to be in World Tribes & learned that I was gonna be in it with Chris, Ami & Yoji, I was SUPER PSYCHED!  Today, we all met up at 8Five2 shop where the guys did some shopping & then we headed out for a little skate session at Chai Wan park.   It was a DOPE little session with Ami & Yoji & the homies.

The guys have been in town for a couple of days filming with Tattoo Si-Fu Gabe & other renowned Tattooists in Hong Kong.   Their next stop is Thailand then Nepal, I think the show is going to be super interesting & can’t wait to watch the first season after their filming is done!   Remember to keep an eye out for WORLD TRIBES to see more about what the show is about, in the mean time check out a few more pics here.
