Survey about Hong Kong Skateparks

There are a few issues regarding skateparks in Hong Kong at the moment;

Hong Kong officially has 13 skateparks as of this moment, 14 when the TKO skatepark opens sometime this year; we have been blessed with this many parks but there is much we can do to improve the older skateparks & to get more usage out of the under-used parks.

Here is a preview of which skateparks in Hong Kong are popular, based on users’ imput

which skate bmx park facility do you go to most often 1

As we can see from this graph, some skateparks are almost not being used at all!!

There are a few different reasons why some parks are more popular than others

  • Accessibility,

  • Design of the park

  • whether or not the park is open to ALL users (Skateboard, BMX, Inline skates) or restricted to only skateboard/inline or BMX only

  • whether or not there is some kind of Licencing / permit requirement in order to use these parks.

I have created a survey here to get your views about the skateparks in Hong Kong & what you think about them, please spend a moment to do this survey so we can give feedback to the LCSD from users perspective.

Thanks in advance!
