Skate photogs & Fish eye lens

Here is an amazing pic of Andy flying over 3 boards + a cone at the new skate plaza.  Its a big ollie & I'm psyched that the shot came out good.

This was shot with an 8mm fish eye lens.  Not many people know that in order to get such a dramatic shot with a fish eye lens, or even an ultra wide lens for that matter, the photographer has to get really close to the subject. 

Here is another shot, taken at exactly the same time, you can see how close the photographer has to be; almost at the line of fire of a skater going at high speed.....  I've had my share of flying boards to the head & lens... but I think its worth it, No?
