Nike Hong Kong – “Just Done It” Exhibition By Michael Lau
The Field House is a temporary exhibition hosted by Nike
Info from www.freshnessmag.com
At heart of the exhibit is “Just Done It”, the centerpiece of the exhibition done by toy designer Michael Lau. Homage to Eric Catona, Steve Prefontaine, Lance Armstrong, and last but not least, Michael Jordan, Lau creatively rendered each athletes’ achievements in different mediums, from ink on wood work done with ball point pens to the 5-meter tall sculpture, La Main Gauche De Dieu, or Left Hand of God.
The exhibition also include works from KAON and an interactive display where visitors can blow on a whistle to stop a recorded soccer game at mid play. To found out more and take part of the festivities, just visit Nike: The Field House at Kowloon’s Secure House event space.
Thanks to Helen @ Nike Hong Kong for showing me around. The exhibition is pretty dope & the main part was done by Michael Lau… I was psyched because just as we were leaving, we bumped into Michael & Florence.
Michael pointed out to me the lights on the ceiling said “just do it” if you look at them from the entrance area. Defiantly some Da Vinci Code Shit right there!! GOOD JOB Michael!!
Upstairs, was another exhibition area, I was super hyped to see a couple of new skate shoe releases – check out these Janoski’s - Soon to be released colorway, perfect match for my bicycle.
The P-Rod 5′s were also on display, They seemed like a really good skate shoe.
I was hyped on P-rod’s clothing line, The chino shorts are amazing. Can’t wait to check these out when they are released!
Check all this out yourself, head down to THE FIELD HOUSE
