I’m honored to be invited to contribute a few photos for this photo exhibition hosted by Know1edge & L.I.F.E. It took a lot of planning & behind-the scenes work to finally get this going. Big thanks to Brian & Lui for including me with Pak Khei to represent Hong Kong.
A bit more about the background about the project;
A while ago a special limited disposable camera made by Know1edge & L.I.F.E. was sent to a number of respected photographers & filmers around the world. They were all invited to contribute to this exhibition by simply taking snapshots of anything they like. Basically a snapshot that captures what they see through their eyes.
Six photos from each contributor was selected & the exhibition will commence this coming Saturday, 28th April 2012 at Vans Sk8Five2. The exhibition will later travel to Japan, China & other countries.
Know1edge Background:
Established in the summer of 2004 by 8FIVE2SHOP’S owner Brian Siswojo, Know1edge launched it’s first season with unforgettable collaboration tee’s by some of the most influential artists in street fashion history including Alyasha Owerka-Moore (Fiberops), Eli Morgan Gesner (Zoo York), Peter Huynh (UXA), Eric Haze (Haze) and Arai (Hex Antistyle). Since then, Know1edge has rapidly expanded to a full line of cut & sew including their premium denim, making Know1ege one of Hong Kong’s most pioneering streetwear labels. Integrating seamlessly with the lifestyle of those who wear it, Know1edge continues to gain more recognition worldwide.
L.I.F.E. is Good background:
Life is Good was started in 2006 by Lui Araki and Naotaka Ohya. Lui and Nao have been skateboarding pretty much all their life. They are professional skateboarders from Japan. Life is Good is a clothing line base on simplicity and good production, good style. Exactly like the way they skate, not simple but a lot of good style.
