Many skaters ask me about my bearings, what they are & why they are so fast. I’ve been using nothing but Bones bearings for most of my 27+ years of skateboarding. Bones bearings are simply the best skateboard bearings out there, I have skated many sets of Swiss Bones & a few sets of Reds, but nothing comes close to Bones Swiss Ceramic Bearings.

Bones Swiss Ceramic bearings are the best of the best. The first set I have are still rolling well & I had them for over 5 years now. Ceramicballs inside don’t rust & keep rolling, but you do need to keep them clean. They seem to get faster the longer you have them, one theory I have is that when you use them, the ceramic balls actually grind down the dust & any rust inside the steel race, keeping it smooth & fast.
The ceramic ball bearings are harder than metal, this causes less friction so they lasts longer, roll much faster, & are lighter than regular steel bearings.
These roll super fast & quiet, almost like you are skating on ice. These bearings are the best of the best, the ultimate skateboard bearings. But this kind of quality & performance isn’t cheap. Bones Ceramics are expensive; for the price of a set of ceramics you could buy 2 or more sets of regular bones swiss bearings or even 10+ sets of cheap standard bearings.
But why spend so much on just bearings? One could just replace standard bearings when they rust or wear out, & this may prove to be more cost effective.
The way I see it, its a good investment for the absolute best performance bearings one can get; nothing rolls like these & if you take care of them, they last for years & years.
If you want the best, try a set of Bones Swiss Ceramics, you won’t regret them.
