Went on a skate photo mission with JBS yesterday, he was going to do “3D skateboarding photos”; this was something I had to check out .
Later, I was super psyched to meet the photographer, Henry Chung, who is a renowned & award winning cinematographer & photographer.
3D Photos can be viewed with special stereoscopes & the image viewed would appear to be coming out of the picture…..
Anyway, in order to shoot these stereo pictures, you need a special dual camera rig. Being the gadget / camera geek that I am, I was totally blown away when I saw Henry’s camera gear:
Double-Fisted Canon EOS-1Ds Mark III ’s ready for 3D action.
These babies produce 21 mega-pixel images each.
The 2 beasts were synced & controlled by a special controller;
Henry even let me shoot a couple of shots with it!
It was cool to watch Henry work; I can’t wait to check out the 3D skateboarding shots.
Thanks again, Henry & JBS!
