Our crew has spent close to two weeks in shangri-la filming, given the harsh weather as mentioned before, its doubled the time as planned. Nevertheless, after seeing the initial edited scenes, my confidence for our production has grown quite a bit, i also found out the quality i need to improve my character ie. subtlty, intelligence. All in all, besides the weather and hours of bumpy rides, i think its definitely worth while coming to shangri-la, its a kind of scenary unlike any where else.

p.s I remember coming across two back packers whilst filming, both coming from london (hurray), law post-graduates, planning for tibet as their final destination, good luck to you two lads and take care of each other. Hope you found our crew's lunch pack yummy

a scene shot next to sea Na-pa, the story goes i drove monkey king away for his brutality, was praying by myself, feeling the inevitable and cried, that moment, a fake monkey king came along...

as i refused the fake's generosity, it attacked from the back, thus i was fatally injured, luckily sand demon and pig came to rescue in time

like Mid summer's dream, Journey to the west is mythical, loads of scenes are shot under green or blue settings, to cater for the cgi insertion; unfortunately, this green curtain was fertilized by faeces that day, from my ride, our beloved 'white dragon horse'

monkey to the rescue! mr. fei yang (费振翔aka费扬) has become a good friend of mine after a couple weeks of shooting; highly acrobatic, he is the perfect cast for the role, for hes been acting as monkey king since the age of four

the chinese plum (prunus mume) trees behind us are of course, fake, they will be multiplied by thousands after cgi enhancement; the pig next to me, mr. xie ning (谢宁), is also very experienced, weighing 250 lbs, this is his fourth time acting the role

along the coast of Na-pa, i witnessed two oxen dragging out wood logs out of the sea, i have no idea as to why the logs were stored under water the first place, probably to prevent from dry air

as u can see, this is one of the ways the locals cross the sea, fascinating

at 630am, 3750m above sea level, we commenced filming; sadly the fog was not thick enough to cover the modern housings behind, otherwise we would have used it: watching the four protagonists manifesting from the morning mist

i can hear the bells jingling looking at this, but not when i was freezing out there :P

local herd often travel by hundreds; they provide milk, meat, plough and hide for the locals, therefore considered very valuable

food in shangri la is mostly either barbeque or hot pot; they have their own tea flavour, called 'su you', basically milk tea but savory. the barbeque above, is what a local restaurant would display for attraction, frankly, i couldnt name half of it, let alone ordering. that was part of our first meal upon arriving at shangri la, main course was fish hot pot, yummy | 我們全體工作人員已經花了大約兩周時間在香格裏拉拍攝，之前就提到過的惡劣天氣使我們比預計多花了一倍時間。而且，看過最初剪輯的鏡頭後，我對我們作品的信心大增，同時我也發現自己的角色還有需要提升之處，比如，更細心、智慧。總之，除了天氣和長途顛簸的旅程，我覺得來香格裏拉很值得，它的風光十分獨特。

因為我拒絕了假猴王的懺悔，他從背後攻擊了我，使我嚴重受傷，幸好沙僧和八戒及時趕來救了我

如同"仲夏夜之夢"，《西遊記》是神話故事，大量鏡頭需要在綠色和藍色背景下拍攝，以方便插入電腦圖像。不幸的是，那天這塊綠色幕布被糞便弄臟了，是我的坐騎 - 我們最愛的“白龍馬"惹的禍

悟空來救我們了！拍了幾周之後，費振翔(又叫費揚)成了我的好朋友。高難度的表演，他是這個角色的最佳人選，因為從四歲起他就開始扮演美猴王了

我們身後的梅花樹當然是假的，它們將被電腦特技成千上萬倍的復制。我身旁的八戒由謝寧扮演，他的戲劇經驗也相當豐富，他體重達250磅，這是他第四次演這個角色了。

在納帕海沿岸，我看到人們用兩頭牛從海裏拖出圓木。一開始我不明白為什麽圓木要被儲存在水下，可能是為了防止幹燥空氣的侵害

你看，這是當地人過海的一種方式，多有趣啊

早晨6:30，我們在海拔3750米的高度開始了拍攝。可惜霧不夠濃，蓋不住後面的現代建築，不然我們就用它了：看四個主演在晨霧中出現

看著這些我仿佛聽到了叮當的鈴聲，但不是在我凍僵的時候:P

當地的牛群經常成百的經過，它們為當地人提供了牛奶、牛肉還有皮毛，因此被認為十分有價值

這是香格裏拉典型的燈箱和告示板，那裏人口稀少
