Our crew has spent close to two weeks in shangri-la filming, given the harsh weather as mentioned before, its doubled the time as planned. Nevertheless, after seeing the initial edited scenes, my confidence for our production has grown quite a bit, i also found out the quality i need to improve my character ie. subtlty, intelligence. All in all, besides the weather and hours of bumpy rides, i think its definitely worth while coming to shangri-la, its a kind of scenary unlike any where else.
p.s I remember coming across two back packers whilst filming, both coming from london (hurray), law post-graduates, planning for tibet as their final destination, good luck to you two lads and take care of each other. Hope you found our crew's lunch pack yummy

monkey to the rescue! mr. fei yang (费振翔aka费扬) has become a good friend of mine after a couple weeks of shooting; highly acrobatic, he is the perfect cast for the role, for hes been acting as monkey king since the age of four
the chinese plum (prunus mume) trees behind us are of course, fake, they will be multiplied by thousands after cgi enhancement; the pig next to me, mr. xie ning (谢宁), is also very experienced, weighing 250 lbs, this is his fourth time acting the role
along the coast of Na-pa, i witnessed two oxen dragging out wood logs out of the sea, i have no idea as to why the logs were stored under water the first place, probably to prevent from dry air

local herd often travel by hundreds; they provide milk, meat, plough and hide for the locals, therefore considered very valuable
