We people of the 21st century should know for a fact that our destiny is to find a perfect house or apartment(or trailer to some unfortunate) for ourselves, afterwards go through years of mortgage turmoil until we finally own it. Meanwhile we put our stuff(some say shit) in there until we have to refurnish to creat more space so we can buy more stuff, we then repeat the process until the house become so cramped up it wont fit the already grown up kids, forcing somebody to move out, hopefully if it is the kids who have to move out, then they, in turn, should realise their destiny.
Serious voice: My destiny is right in front of me, voila- the 'Güell' home; a place for the imagined only. I have planned such a Barcelonian theme for years, sadly due to technical and financial reasons, it was postponed indefinitely, those were the darkest times. But when ever i think of the images of my perfect home, i just know i cant accept any other kind, so i secretly kept my hopes up chin up and my fingers crossed, until my second chance arises. Now that the tenants of my new home will be moving out on april, and the place where i m renting expires in august, the timing is perfect; victory is near, hurrah! Tonight i m going to consult a friend on the practical basis for furnishing such a crafts-required theme, hopefully we can come out with something positive.
Finally, hope u like the photos, i took them with my best mate at school, Hassan, back in 19...errr... i dont remember the year, apparently we were on a field trip in Barcelona, enjoy. Feel free to feedback with ideas!
p.s. those of you who spotted the imprinted date on the photo, well done, although its probably false since my camera was pretty messed up lol
Hassan leaning onto a curved, retaining column wall, known as Colonnaded pathway, Park Guell
me back in the old days, another perspective of the pathway under a roadway viaduct
trees and imitations of bird nests along the roadway in heavy daylight, hassan looking for the flintstones
a typical stack of local stones
doric columns to support roof of lower court, the mosaic terrace
the edge of terrace, beyond serpentine bench, overview of city below the hills of Güell
mosaic, sculpture, tinted glass and featured lightings, inspirations to my home interior
tiles, table ware, are primary elements to the mosaic pattern, no broken glass needed
Gaudi's old house, hes a really lucky dude to have all the funds he needs to build almost anything in Barcelona, from pavement tiles to subway stations
these windows look telly-tubbyish, love them lol
u can see a complete picture on the top left, plus the bench on top right, marvellous
add on the floor tiles, along with mosaic, hand picked stones and green, the theme is almost complete
lighting also plays a vital part, the tile contours need emphasis at night
