show and tell, and crit.

last night i worked on a piece for this morning's crit. i had started it on friday and could never seem to get it right.

i think it might be the format or something, but the main thing is, (and i've said this a million times) that it's unresolved.

i don't know what to do about it so i'm completely open to any ideas.

i've received a few suggestions for more concrete elements to tell the story.

i might go back and try that real soon.

in the meantime, this is the piece i'm referring to. it's for my character who is recollecting a memory/dream where his parents die in a jungle fire.
