I haven't been bloggin' a lot lately but that's simply cause I've been in Japan preparing for a concert which starts this Friday. After months of planning and weeks of preparing, it is sounding good.A year ago, I got re-introduced to an artist that I have met from time to time and even presented an MTV inspiration Award to...that person is Van Ness Wu. In the last year, we have built a great friendship and an absolutely inspiring working relationship together but I know Van Ness as Van and when he asked me to be part of his segment in the upcoming F4 concert, I was more than happy to take some time off from my quickly-becoming-hectic schedule in Taipei to focus on helping to create a set that personified Van Ness as an artist and above all, a musician. Two people who I have been working with, Skot Suyama and Victor Lau, both who have also been working with Van Ness also came along. Three of us are music producers/songwriters/musicians and together with one of Taipei's finest, DJ Zhong Wei, who we have since dubbed DJ Z Dubb, have come together to play live for Van Ness. Months ahead, I had started remixing, re-writing and re-working songs with Van Ness and when we got here, Skot and Victor, went straight into making this set even more incredible that it was originally. Skot and Victor are truly two of my favorite collaborators and you may and will be seeing their names next to mine as I continue to grow as a musician.Van's professionalism and discipline as an artist who never complains and works hard, while always listening to our advice as producers and then going back to work it out in his head before coming back and perfecting the set has made this experience extremely fun and fruitful.I'm thinking of sneaking some of our rehearsal audios to give u a teaser before Van rocks it on Friday. I'm thinking of how to do it... I'm off to bed.....
