The Heavenly Kings Premieres in HKIFF!

It has been a whirwind for me and the rest of the Alive Boys the last couple weeks. Daniel's secret project he has been editing into the movie, "The Heavenly Kings" had 2 premiere showings in the Hong Kong International Film Festival, on April 5th and April 9th. I have to say the premieres were a very special and rewarding experience for me and all the people who have worked so hard on the Alive project.

First things first. A big BIG UP to Daniel for his directorial debut. I think he did a fabulous job his first time out as director and has made a very entertaining film that also stirs debate and makes the audience think about a wide range of issues regarding the music business, entertainment, the media, and celebrity. I am very happy that so far the film has won rave reviews from just about everyone who has seen the film. I am most happy that people are debating about the issues in our movie.

Lately the print media in H.K is staging a very amusing boycott of Alive because they feel Alive has betrayed them somehow in the film. The Alive Boys all feel that this is very far from the truth and that once they realize that the media was such a small portion of the messages we are trying to bring out and that our actions have in no way brought any harm to them, they will begin to see things more clearly and enjoy our film for what it is. A statement that exposes the reality in the entertainment business and the issues that surround it without judgement. Our hope is to entertain the people who watch "The Heavenly Kings," and create a space for them to think about the issues portrayed in our film.

"The Heavenly Kings" premieres in H.K cinemas on April 20th. I hope you all will come and watch this film. I was not very comfortable about this project as first, but now, I understand and am very proud to have taken part in such a special film.

首先，為Daniel的首執導演筒喝采。  他初試啼聲，成績卓越，他拍攝了一部既有娛樂性，又有爭議性的電影。一部非常有趣，又能使觀眾充份思考有關音樂界、娛樂界、傳媒和名人的電影。很高興影片取得了極大的回嚮。更高興的是有很多人在討論我們的電影中所觸及的問題。香港的一些傳媒正可笑地嘗試抵制Alive，因為他們感覺Alive在影片中有点兒背叛了他們。Alive Boys都認為這有点離題萬丈與現實不乎。但當他們意識到傳媒問題只不過是我們想表達的一小部分，而且我們亦無傷害別人之心時；希望他們能夠放開胸懷，好好的欣賞我們的電影。我們只是將娛樂圈中事如實陳述，不帶半点批判。我們只希望娛樂觀眾，及為觀眾建立一個思考空間，讓他們思索一下問題所在。  

4月20日「The Heavenly Kings」會在香港戲院公演。我希望您全部都來看這部電影。  剛開始時我不太認同這個電影計劃，但，現在，我明白了，我非常榮幸可以參演一部這麼出眾的電影。
