A native of Hong Kong, Suk-Yee Cheung holds a MFA degree from the School of Cinematic Arts, University of Southern California. During her study, she was awarded a "Woman in Film Scholarship" by the Women in Film Organization in Los Angeles. Her short films have been invited to participate in many international film festivals, including Melbourne International Film Festival, Kinofilm, Raindance, Leeds, Bradford, Sao Paulo, Busan, LA Short Fest, Visual Communication, Asian International Asian American Film Festival, Women in the Director's Chair and more. She has been invited to direct original plays in the Theatre Festival in Los Angeles. She is currently in pre-production of her debut feature film to be shot in the summer of 2010.
