After working with Ulrikon his action film project a few weeks back, I bumped into him again last Wednesday in Berlin on the set of the new German TV show "Lasko" , where he's in charge of the "Making Of" and the camera work of the fight sequences.
Actually, it says in my contract with the production company that I'm not supposed to divulge any details regarding the plot and such (or they'll fine me ), but I figure I'm allowed to talk about the basic idea.
Playing the lead is German martial artist & actor Mathis Landwehr. Some action movie buffs may know him as the star of "The Challenge" . As you can probably tell from his outfit in the video clip, the story of "Lasko" evolves around a Catholic monk with incredible martial arts skills, working on secret missions for the Vatican ... err, yes. It's got a bit of a Highlander feel to it, with lotsa flashbacks and stuff, but this is as much as I can disclose (or they'll fine me ).

The series was developed from a TV movie (see above) by German production house ACTION CONCEPT for the TV channel RTL, and there are armies of top-notch stunt people involved. I'm just playing a small role in one of the countless action bits. Just this much: I'm going to be a Serbian mercenary, and friar Mathis will beat the livin' daylights out of me (surprise, surprise).
By the way, 2 of my stunt bros here on AnD , Thommy & Mikey, will also be put to work in this project. Olli was supposed to join, too... but he broke his nose last week while working as a stunt double for German actor Til Schweiger.
I just got 3 more shooting days lined up, some time within the next couple of weeks, and I hope I can smuggle out 1 or 2 snapshots from the set. Gotta be damn careful, though...
or they'll fine me .
