Went to the Asian Film Awards where fellow AnDer and my brother from another mother, Terence Yin, was hosting.
Apparently, this is the only awards show to feature awards from all of Asia, so that was pretty cool. I also appreciated how all the actors that won awards really genuinely felt honored to win.
Best story of the night: A Taiwanese director maxed out his credit cards and sold all his belongings to make his first feature film. It flopped. No release. No Hype. Nothing. He then goes on to mortgage his house to make his second feature (Cape No. 7). It becomes one of the top grossing films EVER in Taiwan. Talk about balls. Mad Respect!
