Pic: #tbt to a special Thursday last year... Since before the tragedies of 2017, the Rohingya's situation has been on my mind. When the gruesome attacks started in the Rakhine territory end of 2017, i just felt so sick! Hearing of mass massacre, genocide....it just boggles my mind how ANY human being can WILLINGLY do things like that to another human being.
I dedicated my events to the cause last year, and now, tomorrow afternoon, my cousin and I will finally be heading down to Cox's Bazaar to volunteer at the Rohingya Camp...and my head and tummy are ALL a buzz. I have major butterflies. It's my first time volunteering on site, and especially on site of a world crisis. But it's something i've been wanting to do for over a decade.
There are many amazing people and organizations doing everything they can to help and i hope to be able to come back and share even more. Even if it reaches one or two new ears, I hope you can also help to then raise awareness through your own means.
I would absolutely love for you to follow us on @zimaaction and help to share our stories and spread the word, far and wide!
We will also be setting up a donation link for anyone who would like to support @obathelpersusa @haprelief #humanitarianassistanceprogram and help them to keep doing the amazing work they are doing.
Thank you all so much! . . . . .
