Just trying to spread the AnD love...
Sex & Chopsticks II rocked. It was puerile, indulgent, and insincerely didactic.
Kinda like me.
Winnie Leung was shockingly under-dressed in some of the film, and I just want to say " Thank you." The Movie Night masochists had a great time at the Dynasty, drinking beer (and Pocari Sweat) and laughing ourselves silly.
If only this film had LOVE in the title, it would be the best of the 'Love in the title' movies I've seen.
Well, second best.
As most of you know, I have a real love-hate relationship with Mainland cinema: I love to hate it. Occasionally, though, I watch something in Mandarin made 'up above' that I not only tolerate, but venerate.
The Equation of Love and Death, starring Zhou Xun, was surprisingly good, and I enjoyed it a lot. Zhou Xun's not as young as she used to be, and I find it very easy to look at. She's also become a hell of a good actress.Dear God, please strike down all the big-nose perverts...She plays a taxi driver in Kunming, and her presence there, fictional as it is, would be the only
otherreason I would ever want to go there.
She would also be the only reason to visit Kunming I couldn't shove up my arm...
But never mind that. Go see this film. You'll like it. Go see Sex & Chopsticks II. Oh, and no, there are no chopsticks in Part II.
Just Part I.How many guitars is too many guitars?
Oh, and here's my entry for the t-shirt design, horrid man that I am...
If we don't support the movies that deserve it, we get the movies that we deserve.
