If I say this movie was better thanKung Fu Dunk, I'm not really saying much, am I?
This is one of those movies where I have to assume I'm too old, toogweilo, or just otherwise not the intended audience.
Sometimes I laughed with it, sometimes at it.
Like I said, they didn't make this movie for me.
It's got a great poster; very Andy Warhol
Big thanks to The Golden Rock for the photos; the lower photo is blurry 'cos he was still a-titter with all that Mainland goodness... And all for only $30!!!
I sawRed Clifflast week, and I enjoyed it. Even though I never read the books or played the video game or watched the TV dramas...
Last weekend I watchedMan on the Brinkat the Hong Kong Film Archive, about undercover cops under too much pressure. I enjoyed it, and it was interesting to see what Hong Kong was like almost 30 years ago. This city changes so fast that films become archival footage.
There aren't going to be many (any?) movies coming out any time soon; no one is dumb enough to try and compete with the Olympics for people's attention.
Vickie's mother is taking her to seeWall E(thank God), so I guess I will break in my new couch with the pile of DVDs I have on my Watch List.
If we don't support the movies that deserve it, we get the movies that we deserve.
