So living out of a suitcase definitely has its perks but for the most part, its fairly difficult to explain to people where home is. I’d like to think that I’m one of many fortunate people in the world that can have more than one “home”. I’ve been back in KL for barely a week already having spent some time in Seoul and Hong Kong but soon enough, I was whisked away to another part of the world.
An audition process that I’ve been part of since mid-July has taken me further than I’ve ever imagined. Its best not to mention what this project is for but there is a lot of buzz and anticipation for it already – so that definitely adds to the pressure of getting this far.
Post-Video-Update- I spent 2.5 days in New Zealand for a rigorous screentest alongside another talented actress who is sort of in the same predicament as I. Luckily I was flying out of KL which took about 10 hrs. She was flying out of North America, so make that 20hrs. We rehearsed our scenes and performed as best we could in hopes of landing this life-changing role. I was happy that I’ve been going to the shooting gallery to familiar myself with guns and so working with armoury/stunts wasn’t a difficult task.
For every second that I could catch my breath, I wanted to appreciate how great it felt just being in the vicinity of such talented crew/cast and the producers who have such a genuine passion for the project. My agent is proud of me and the journey that I have taken. So now we wait for the big wigs to decide if I can do the job for them. So please keep crossing those fingers and let’s hope they choose me!
Anyway, I’m glad to be back in KL and I’ve got a few magazines I’ll be shooting for. I’m so excited and I’m even happier to reconnect with everyone again.
