Guess what everyone? I can finally chat a little more about the travel guide I was filming in Hong Kong! After grueling shooting schedules, on-the-spot memorization of lines, more mosquito bites and city trekking, the wait is finally over!!! ask Ting Ting will be ready to launch in August!
Yesterday, I had a delightful meeting with Matthias (creator of ask Ting Ting) about how exciting this could be for all of us! I wanted to be part of the project because it is the first of its kind. I believe this will truly revolutionize the way we establish a new service for the travel industry. With over 70 videos about the sights and sounds of Hong Kong, this device uses Google Maps to help one navigate throughout the city with informative facts and cultural facts too. One of the awesome features is the “Dim Sum” guide which has photos of menu items with captions in English and Chinese to help you order if you feel foreign about Hong Kong’s favourite brunch cuisine.
Last but not least, a big thank you to Shanghai Tang who sponsored all the clothing for the videos and was the perfect addition to the cultural flavour of this project.
For someone that wants to get lost in the city but could use a little help, all we say is… ask Ting Ting!
