Sarah Lian in What If (8TV)

The final episode of What If aired on 8TV last week. I wanted to commend director/producer Jehan Miskin for taking this show and bringing English dramas back on our Malaysian airwaves again. When I was first asked to do a little scene with his team, I wasn’t too sure what to expect but either way, I’m glad I did.

I finally made my Malaysian acting debut on television!! The experience was fantastic! Everyone on set works like a family and they have a “No Asshole” rule -which is strictly enforced. There were constant laughs on set and the main star Josiah Hogan will eventually be one of Malaysia’s biggest stars if he’s not already! He’s got the Malay language on the back of his hand and his Texan upbringing makes his Latin-American vibe legit.

Tony Eusoff plays the antagonist and he’s so awesome as the bad guy!! Loving it!

It’s too bad the censorship board in Malaysia is a bit tough. That’s an entire blog to be written about but I’m not gonna get into it. I’m proud to be part of a show that celebrates talent from all different markets in Malaysia (Indian, Chinese, Malay and Urban)!

I hope 8TV books another season of What If and this show goes into syndication in other markets around the region!
