Quote of the Week – Limits

Hello 2013. 2012 came and left so quickly that I hope you will stay a little longer.

This year is supposed to be another milestone year but I think last year put me through a lot of tests. I was miserable in the cold during the winter months. I refused to step down from my decisions to remain in Toronto and I told myself that failure was not an option. My motto last year was “Master of my Universe”, in that I made sure that I could only worry about the things that were within my control. I imposed discipline in my health regimes, professional career and personal growth. I felt empowered, I felt confident and mostly, I felt proud.

I struggled a lot. I cried a lot. I laughed a lot.

I thought letting go and moving on would mean a new beginning but I realized that you can’t ignore what is true in your heart.

I scolded myself for making excuses and I ate a huge slice of humble pie.

I learnt enough life lessons to pray that this year, I will only make new mistakes and not the same ones again.

This year I will not limit my happiness, my career and my heart. If there is a will, there is a way, no need to hold back.

I want to be limitless. I want each day to feel like a miracle and I want to be grateful every morning I’m awake.

2013, I think this year is going to be a mighty adventure!
