Looking Good is part of the job

“There’s only so much Photoshop can do!”

I kena scolding earlier this week by a friend of my mine, Azeer from Nail Basics (located in Taman Tun) and it was because my nails are incredibly cacat. I hadn’t gone for a manicure/pedicure for more than a few weeks and it was starting to look bad. So his team of professionals buffed and polished my nails back to normality and told me how its so important to look good all the time, even down to my fingers and toes (literally). I sometimes wonder if it is necessary but at the end of the day, I’m lucky to have friends like Azeer and his shop to look after my nail needs!

I also went to sort out my hair woes by heading to Shawn Cutler (Bangsar) for my monthly root touch-up and colour. I’ve gone darker because its to annoying to have the dye go into this coppery colour after a few weeks. The fellas sat there talking to me about how I have to do treatment regularly and not just colour so I’ll have beautiful bouncing locks when i’m at events and etc.

I never realized how horrible I am about all that stuff, but I think in Malaysia its such a culture to get your nails done and hair as well. That’s soooo not me but I should start looking at it as part of my job because I can’t photoshop a beautiful manicure all the time! Plus with the help of these two salons, I think i’m incredibly fortunate. You should see what they have to work with when I come in
