While I was at the mall getting my nails did, I was watching an episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians… its one of those perfect trash tv shows that I sinfully enjoy! (Girls Next Door was my favourite) In this particular episode, Bruce Jenner was trying to explain to the girls about what he does for a living-a motivational speaker and it captured part of his speech which moved me. I’ve had this on my MSN name to remind me of the key points to success.

*Gamble. Gamble the best shot you’ve got in life; dare to take risks; life has to be a great adventure or it’s nothing

*Cheat. Cheat those who would have you be less than who you are; surround yourself with positive people; help others

*Lie. Lie in the arms of those that you love; don’t take others for granted

*Steal. Steal every moment of happiness; live everyday as if it were your last day because you never know when your last day will be

So for those that are down and out.. or sometimes feeling a little lost (like me) I hope this will be a good pick-me-up for the rest of the week. I’ve got an op to cover the Confessions of a Shopaholic Premiere this coming week and a few more meetings in tow. Today, I did a few jumps wakeboarding and my body is exhausted. My attempts made were not accidental like the last few times so thankfully its a matter of working on my edging now.

I just saw Parts I,II,III of VII of the mini-series John Adams. It’s truly fascinating to see how the Americans view their fight for liberty and freedom from the British to building a nation from the ground up. I remember studying the Loyalists in Socials 9 and the tar & feathers scene depicted in the show was so disturbing. I started reading up on John Adams and his life story with his son also becoming president a few terms after. As I think about Malaysia’s own politics with Najib as our on-coming Prime Minister who’s dad is also a former PM, its really interesting to see that there are lots of the Father/Son world leaders even in today’s world: George Senior/George Dubya, Kim Il-Sung/Kim Jong-Il, Lee Kwan Yew/Lee Hsien Loong. Bah, I’m just babbling now….

Anyways, a Happy Birthday shoutout to my sexy model fren Ethel “Turtle” Cho!
