Iran defeats China 3-1 to win Asian championships

Tehran, Aug 31, IRNA- Iran's Youth Volleyball Team beat China 3-1 on Sunday to become the champion in the Asian Youth Volleyball Championships. The Iranian team trounced China in the four-game contest and won the gold medal. The team overpowered China 25-15 in the first, 25-18 in the second, 23-25 in the third and 25-22 in the final round.

Although Iran won the game but it wasn’t an easy game. Chinese showed a whole new team in the third set after losing the first two. The last set turned to be a breathtaking marathon and Chinese fought to the very last minute, but having more experienced players came to Iran rescue to hold the Championship at home. Iran and China will represent Asia in the coming World Youth Volleyball Championships.
