How I make singing videos on Youtube

Hey guys!

So I just decided that I wanted to tell you guys how I record. =)

Usually people with pro mics have a micorphone along with a nice preamp for studio recording. I'm lazy and I get confused with high tech stuff, so I use the Audio-Technica AT2020USB (got it as a present from a friend! YAYYY thank you =D). It's a really good mic even when it's just USB and for its price!

I record the video on iMovie with the microphone, then I go to Garageband and add "Live Performance" mode to the audio, though I do tweek the reverb so it's a bit less reverby. Then I add vocal harmony tracks to it.

for USE SOMEBODY, the ambient sounds and harmonies I sang are either in Female Basic mode, or Ambient Vocals mode. Ambient vocals are more atmospheric and fuzzy, but that's what I was shooting for to match the mood of the song! It pans from Left to Right continuously so it's really cool to listen to on headphones or bigger speakers!

I'm no pro at all, I just know the basics. Thing with mac is that it's super user-friendly! I love it. But if you ever want some questions answered, leave comments below!
