7月14日 vs. Halloween + Soulboy the Kung Master Part 5

Do you celebrate Chinese Calendars July 14th (aka. Ghost festival)? no u don't... instead, your parents or grand parents request u to go home early, and u see restaurants and bars, and shops all over HK burning 'money'  to the dead....

ok, then why are we celebrate Halloween? i don't know myself...

it was an excuse for kids to 'trick or treat' their neighbors, dressed up like a witch or a pumpkin, NOT Pokemon, not barbie, not transformers, not superman or batman or spiderman etc... why would you dress up like superman on halloween????

well.... anyway, here is a clip to share, Happy Halloween.... (this sounds so wrong... i 100% won't say 7月14日)

The original purpose of wearing a costume back in Ireland (where Halloween originated) was to confuse the malevolent spirits. I guess the idea was, if they can't find you, they can't do you any harm. I was just thinking the other day that, unlike most Western cultures that have some sort of yearly festival where disguise plays a major role, in particular Carnival, and gender roles, social hierarchies and other apparently immutable social conventions are turned on their head for a period marked by drinking, debauchery and tom foolery, I am not aware of the same in Asia.
