1 About the play

The production is Six Characters In Search of Author, which is written by Italian playwright Luigi Pirandello who won Nobel Prize in 1934. The adapted version has 13 characters, which mixes Chinese and American – Europe actors, including a little girl and boy (non-speaking). All actors have to speak English.

2 About the date and venue

There are 4 performances totally, two will be in the evening on 22nd and 23rd and the other will be in the afternoon on 23rd and 24th July, at a Japanese restaurant in Jin Mao Tower. The play will be cabaret style.

3 About audition date

Audition date will be on 1pm 19th June, including read, dance and impro, at Mecooon Theatre (3/F, No.100, Lane 200 Longcao Lu, Metro No.3, Long Cao Lustation.下河迷仓，龙漕路200弄100号,近龙吴路)。

4 About the money

We will pay main actors  (4 person) 1000RMB for one performance, 800 RMB for supporting actors (7 person) . Rehearsal fee is 100RMB for one day (8 hours) and50 RMB for evening (3 hours). Launch is free.

5 About the director

Zang Ningbei, Chinese director, who was studying Fine Art at Nanjing Normal University, Art History at Central Design Academy, Peking and Drama at QMUC in Edinburgh, UK, is now working at Shanghai Theatre Academy. He finished more than 20 productions as the director, playwright, producer and actor, and more than 250 performances.
