In the early morning on a cold and windy December 16, over 20 crew and cast -- And 2 RED cameras -- converged on the Shanghai Longhua airport, perhaps china's oldest airfield to commence filming on Distance Runners. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1205476/
Under the expert direction of the multi-talented Robert Vicencio (check his profile on this sitewww.alivenotdead.com/robertvicencio ) we successfully completed a complicated day of filming involving race car action and a large crowd scene of extras and a few supporting cast. The expert Director of Photography Gianpaolo Lupori did an excellent job with the 2 RED cameras and capturing all the complicated shots the director requested.
This is the only Shanghai scene in this Yunnan-based film that will undergo principle filming in February 2009. Many thanks to all the talents as well as Coopers and New Balance for making this possible.
