PRODUCTION BACKGROUND

This is a paid job. The salary will be commensurate with actor’s qualifications and experience.

We require that the actor must have a lot of formal performance experience.

DEscrīptION

The show is a one-off performance that will be part of a large local theatre festival.

Tentatively titled ‘Jing’An Romance’, the production is a story of two individuals who meet and bond over shared ideas and dreams.

This production will be in both English and Mandarin

The running time will be approximately 45 mins to one hour

•Rehearsals begin 8 September (TBC)

CHARACTER

Character name: Jackie

Sex: male

Age: 20’s – 30’s to play 20’s

Details: A young man who runs a hip, fashion store. He’s a fast thinker, charming, and street smart. Very kind and a good person.

Requirements: Is meant to be local Chinese, but must be able to do an American accent. Preferable American-Chinese or Canadian-Chinese.

Vocal Requirements: must be able to sing and/or have some musical talent
