East West Theatre****is presently casting its spring production

of****

“Rosencrantz & Guildenstern are Dead”

Synopsis: a comedy in 3 Acts, follows the musings and misadventures of Rosencrantz and Guilderstern two minor characters of Shakespeare’s “Hamlet” within the universe of Hamlet….

Auditionswill be held onFebruary Sunday the 20th from 6pm-9pm & Wednesday the 23rd from 7pm-9pm @The Children’s Theatre rehearsal space, 643Huashan Lu,near Wulumuqi Bei Lu. ( close to Huashan Hospital)

Nearest Metro is Line 2 Jingan Temple Station or Metro Line 1 Changshu Lu Station.

Those auditioning are not asked to prepare anything and will be given short texts for cold reading.

Experience is a plus but all will be considered, also all parts/roles are open and not classified by gender in an effort to have the best players.

If you are interested in getting involved backstage or elsewhere with this production you are encouraged to also be present at auditions…Time-line of shows and rehearsals…

Rehearsals will be approximately 3 evenings a week beginning on the evening February 27th and run for 6 weeks, then 2 weekends of performances on second and third weekends of April wrapping on April 17th. Please note, there will be extra rehearsals the week before opening as well as tech and dress rehearsals which are mandatory for all cast and crew…

Also Note*this will be a profit share show, so apart from the usual cast dinner and such perks we are striving to pay our actors.
